The biliary stent is designed for palliative treatment of the strictures of biliary ducts caused by malignant neoplasms. The product is especially fit for stenting the strictures localized at common bile duct (ductus choledochus) and/or common hepatic duct (ductus hepaticus communis).
Stent Tips |
The stent TIPS is designed for maintaining the patency of the intrahepatic shunt, a surgically formed channel between the hepatic vein and intrahepatic branch of the portal vein. It can be used for treating the re-stenosis of the shunt as well. The shunt is intended to reduce symptomatic portal hypertension complicated by repeated esophageal, gastric and/or intestinal hemorrhage, severe or refractory ascites, hepatic hydrothorax, and Budd-Chiari syndrome. Implantation of the TIPS stent can be performed as a measure preventing the bleeding during transplantation or resection of the liver. |

Endovascular stent |

The Endovascular stent is designed for treating arterial disease by relieving stenosis or occlusion of different etiology (atherosclerosis, intravascular thrombosis, trauma etc.) causing claudications, rest pain and/or non-healing defects. Stenting may also follow an unsuccessful percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA). |
Pyloroduodenal stent |
The Pyloroduodenal stent is indicated for palliative treatment of gastric outlet syndrome or duodenal strictures and/or obstructions caused by malignant tumors. |

Colorectal stent |

The Colorectal stent is indicated for palliative treatment of the obstructions or strictures caused by malignant tumors affecting the rectum, sigmoid or aboral portion of the descendent colon. It may also be used for temporary relief of such obstructions prior to elective surgery. If covered, the stent may be also used for closing coloenteral and colovesical fistulae. |
Esophageal stents |
The Esophageal stent is designed for traversing malignant or benign esophageal strictures of the esophagus if standard operation is contraindicated. However, use in benign esophageal strictures is not universally accepted. It is acceptable only as an emergency solution in case of failure of repeated dilation. It can be used for treatment of esophagorespiratory fistulae as well. The delivery system can even place stents in the upper portion of the esophagus. |
